The Back Story

Not exactly the romantic setting you'd imagine for a first meeting, but when Sherif and Sarah discovered they were both working overnight on their shared birthday, something just clicked. Between stolen moments of conversation and the kind of laughter that only happens at 3am, we realized this wasn't just another birthday—it was the beginning of everything.

We bonded over our mutual love of obscure music, trading stories about the places we'd traveled and dreaming about all the ones we wanted to explore together. It turned out we both believed that the best moments in life happen around a table with good food and great company, or on a trail with an incredible view waiting at the top.

Four years later, those dreams have become our reality. We've traded Saskatchewan winters for the West Coast, making Vancouver our home base for all the adventures we'd talked about that first night. Whether we're hiking mountain trails, discovering new restaurants, planning our next trip, or just walking Gus through the neighborhood, we're living the life we imagined together.

This July, we're bringing our favorite people to Whistler to celebrate with us. From that unexpected birthday meeting to saying "I do" surrounded by the people we love most—it feels like the perfect next chapter.
